For the GP2X, a Korean handheld for homebrew software, I thought of a small shooter which has no real title yet. Thus the working title "little shooter". Very creative, I know.
Mostly, the game consists of typical shooting and collecting extras. But the player can collect parts of the enemies as soon as they lose them. This way, you upgrade your own ship constantly (and you have to do that very often).
The whole project was made with Code::Blocks, C++ so to speak. SDL is used for graphics output and sound. I always compiled two versions, one for Windows and one for the GP2X, so I could see any performance issues immediately. And there are lots of them. I suspect the STL being the culprit ...
By the way, graphics were done in Photoshop.
The game is playable, but lacks content (levels, enemies). There will probably never be a playable version, sorry.
